Provide sonarlint extension in codium marketplace

Dear maintainer of sonarlint,

I want to use the sonarlint extension in codium, a telemetry free build of vscode. At the moment it is not possible the documented way.

I shall ask “the extension maintainers to publish to open-vsx.org in addition to the VS Code Marketplace. The publishing process is documented in the Open VSX Wiki.”

Strikes me odd that this really helpful extension is not already asked to be available for the VS Code Compatible Editors users.

Meanwhile I try to bring the extension codium markeplace, see https://github.com/open-vsx/publish-extensions/pull/134.

Hello,

Thanks for joining the community and for your proposal!

There is an open question about license compatibility as mentioned in the GitHub issue. We will also have a look and internally discuss the opportunity to appear on Open VSX.

We will keep you informed here.

Thanks again
Damien

The answer about license compatibility :

the Eclipse Board of
Directors approved the following licenses for Open VSX extensions:

Registry Code Content Offerings will be subject to one or more of the
following licenses:

EPL-2.0, Apache-2.0, MIT, ISC, BSD-2-Clause or BSD-3-Clause (collectively,
“Permitted Code Licenses”).

Non-Code Content will be subject to one of the above licenses for Code
Content, or one of the following licenses: CC-BY-SA-3.0, CC-BY-3.0,
CC-BY-SA-4.0 or CC-By-4.0.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or if we can help
further.

So it is rejected by now. Someone has to change their license. I wrote a comment at https://github.com/open-vsx/publish-extensions/pull/134#issuecomment-684823441. Hm.

Hooray - sonarlint is approved!

“The #Eclipse board may soon allow all “standard” open-source licensed extensions onto #OpenVSX.”

Glad they come to reason
