Projects removed from organization without my interaction

As the title says. And I am 100% the project was in the org, for the very simple reason that I noticed only after seeing the quality badges returning “not found” in all instances where I display them since more than 1.5 years now.

Not only that - all my quality gates are gone too.

  • Where can I see who or what removed those projects from my org?
  • Where can I see who or what deleted my quality gates?
  • Why did this happen in the first place?

This is rather disconcerning.

Thanks

Hey there.

Is it possible these were stale, public projects?

Yeah, that would match it. But this is awful, because that project is in development, just not on the main branch, which is why no scans had been run, being scans only run on major merges into develop/main branch.
I do not really understand the approach. I might even want to keep a project showing as fully scanned even if there is no dev on it, no dev does not mean no work. It means it’s so good it needs no dev anymore (example: boilerplates, templates, etc)

Can’t this be stopped?

I also notice This new policy will take effect as of January 2023, the 23rd.
That makes no sense either. This was working for sure starting around march last year up and until perhaps December (which is when I last checked that particular page). And since then that project has actually received quite significant updates, just not on the main branch

Hey there.

If you switch to CI-based analysis, you can analyze other branches, keeping the project “active” in SonarCloud.
