Private vs Public projects in our organization?

Is it so that if we choose Public project it will be available for the rest of the world, and only Private projects will be seen in our organization? Or we should always go with Private projects. How this works? Thanks!

Public projects can be viewed by all SonarCloud users, and don’t count towards your license. These are typically open source projects.

Private projects can only be viewed by members of your organization with permission to browse the project.

You can disable creating public projects in your org. See this post:
