Old codes are recognized as new code by sonarqube

Sonarqube * Enterprise Edition* Version 9.9 (build 65466) 20M Loc

Hi All,

Some old code classes seems as new code. You can see last commit dates in the related class. And you can see new code period and activities which is shown build schedules below screenshots.

This issue is really important for us. I think there is a bug. I need result-orentiation resolution.
(NOTE:I dont need document guiding like go to SonarQube 10.5 (sonarsource.com))

Thank you,

Hey there.

  • Your screenshot shows the last analysis had 1 warning. What is it?
  • What source control system is your code stored in?

Hi Colin,

This warning is not related with the issue. Also I am sharing below screenshot.

And we use Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC)

Thanks.

TFVC isn’t natively supported by SonarQube. If you’re using GitHub - lg2de/sonar-scm-tfvc: SonarQube integration for Team Foundation Version Control, you’ll need to reach out to them about the detection of New Code.

Without SCM/blame data, all SonarQube knows is that some code wasn’t analyzed before, that is being analyzed now.

Hi Colin,

You mean SCM sensor. If it is, should I check as True or default false?

Kind regards,
Thank you,
