πŸš€ New Feature on SQC: IP Allow List

We’re excited to share that the IP Allow List feature is now available as a beta on SonarQube Cloud! This addition responds directly to customer feedback about needing tighter control over where access is coming from.

:locked: Why this matters

Many of you have voiced concerns about security and compliance β€” specifically, β€œWho’s able to connect, and from which IPs?” The IP Allow List helps you:

  • Restrict access on SAML SSO authentication and their personal access tokens so that only connections from approved IPs are allowed
  • Prevent unwanted or unauthorized access from unknown network sources
  • You retain full control over the list of permitted IP addresses or ranges

:package: How to enable it

This feature is now available as a beta to all customers on the enterprise plan and can be configured by enterprise administrators.

To activate it:

  • Go to Your SQC Enterprise β†’ Administration β†’ IP Allow List
  • Add your allowed IP(s) or ranges
  • Save and enforce the policy

As always, check out the full documentation for step-by-step setup and examples.

Please try it out and let us know how it goes β€” your feedback helps us improve.

Thank you,

Hello everyone,

We are excited to announce that the IP Allowlist feature has graduated from beta and is now officially in General Availability (GA) for all Enterprise customers.

What does GA mean for you?
While the core functionality remains the same, GA signifies that the feature is now fully hardened, supported, and ready for your production workflows.

A quick reminder on the benefits: This feature allows you to bridge the gap between cloud flexibility and corporate security by restricting access to recognized networks. It covers:

  • SAML SSO Users: Ensure only team members on your network can log in.
  • Personal Access Tokens (PATs): Prevent token misuse outside of your perimeter.
  • Scoped Organization Tokens (SOTs): Secure your automation and CI/CD pipelines.

If you haven’t enabled it yet, Enterprise administrators can configure the an IP allowlist from: Your SQC Enterprise β†’ Administration β†’ IP Allow List

We appreciate your feedback, please feel free to reach out.

Check out the documentation for setup guides and examples.

Thank you,
