New Code Definition(NCD) setup is now part of project onboarding. When you are adding a new project from the SonarCloud UI to analyze, you will now have the opportunity to select a suitable New Code Definition. This is now a mandatory step so that your team can focus on the most relevant issues from the beginning with the Clean as You Code (CaYC) methodology.
Your Organization’s default NCD will be proposed as the default choice if it is compatible with the Clean as You Code methodology.
Available New Code Definition options are also updated:
- Number of days option now can have a maximum value of 90
- Specific version and specific date options are now available through Web API only.
