Multiline Code Markdown in Issue Comments not working

The following bug is a small but frustrating issue for our developers.

  • Environment: SonarCloud
  • Browser: Chrome 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • OS: macOS 10.14.6

Steps to reproduce:

  • Select a code smell in the Issues Tab of a project
  • write a new comment
  • insert the example “multiline code” markdown snippet
  • The output only displays the first line of code

Possible workaround:

  • Using a single-line comment block per line, but this ignores indentation
