Issue when displaying the text of the hint - no code displayed

Hi, here are the details of the problem

  • Operating system: Linux Mint Mate 21.2
  • SonarLint plugin version: SonarLint for Eclipse 9.0.1.81337
  • Programming language you’re coding in: Java
  • Is connected mode used: no

And a thorough description of the problem / question:
When I want to open description of the rule in Eclipse, there is just dark grey box in place of the code and nothing is shown.

Using Eclipse 2023-09 (4.29.0) with Dark mode.
I’d upload a screenshot but it gives me error here when I try to do so.

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

Could you upgrade to SonarLint 9.1.0.81411 and see if this is still replicable, please?

Thx,
Ann

Hi,

the issue is almost fixed.
See a gif here: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

There is some dark rectangle that grows as you scroll, covering the text, but this update is an improvement nonetheless, I can read the code examples now.

Thank you very much.
Vit

Hi,

Thanks for trying the upgrade and thanks for the gif. This turns out to be only partly an issue with SonarLint - we rely on the OS browser to render it inside Eclipse.

We’re actively working on it in this thread:
