How can I configure the password policy rule for local accounts in SonarQube 10.7?

  • What are you trying to achieve: I am trying to define a password policy for local accounts as an administrator.
  • What have you tried so far: I have reviewed the release notes mentioning the password policy feature but am unsure of how to configure it.

    12 characters
    1 upper case letter
    1 lower case letter

Hey there.

Looks like we got it wrong in the release notes – while users cannot configure a default password policy, there is now one baked into SonarQube and enforced on local accounts.

The policy is one you’ve already referenced.

We’ll make sure the docs get updated.
