Github Action cannot write to sonar installation

  • github action running sonar qube scan
  • followed setup instructions, recreated tokens, secrets

The DevOps Platform Integrations shows a green check on the integration.

When the action runs in github, it gets to the point where it tries to post the report, then throws this error

ERROR: Error during SonarScanner execution
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Failed to upload report: Fail to request url:

This usually indicates some network connectivity issue between GitHub Actions and your SonarQube instance – or something at the reverse proxy layer (like only allowing POSTs of a certain size). What do the rest of the logs say?
