Forcing Auto analysis on without admin privileges fails

Hi,

All users have all privileges except admin. A user tried to create new project and all went well up to the point where SonarCloud said that Auto analysis is not recommended. At that point user clicked “Force auto analysis” and got banner complaining about insufficient privileges. After I gave the user admin privileges for that project he was able to enable Auto analysis. Is this as expected?

Hi,

Yes it is the expected behavior.
The UI should be updated to not show the button if a user has not the requires permission.
And I agree that it would make sense for users with “execute analysis” permission to be able to activate it.
I created a ticket internally to track this bug, we’ll update this thread when the fix is available.
