Failure loading architecture project configuration

Hello,

Similar to this thread, I’m not able to see the architecture view of my Java project.
Log file shows this message:

[DEBUG] Error response content: {"message":"You are not authorized to retrieve project configurations for this project."}, headers: {cache-control=[no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate], connection=[keep-alive], content-security-policy=[default-src 'self'; base-uri 'none'; connect-src 'self' http: https:; font-src 'self' data:; frame-src; img-src * data: blob:; object-src 'none'; script-src 'self' 'sha256-D1jaqcDDM2TM2STrzE42NNqyKR9PlptcHDe6tyaBcuM='; style-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'; worker-src 'self'], content-type=[application/json], date=[Fri, 11 Sep 2026 07:54:19 GMT], server=[nginx/1.29.5], transfer-encoding=[chunked], vary=[accept-encoding], x-content-type-options=[nosniff], x-frame-options=[DENY], x-xss-protection=[0]}
[WARNING] Failed to load architecture project configuration, architecture analysis will be missing configuration.
You're not authorized to analyze this project or the project doesn't exist on SonarQube and you're not authorized to create it. Please contact an administrator.

The project already exists (was created years ago), and sonar.architecture.enable is enabled. Nothing interesting in web.log, access.log shows that the requests return 403 error code.
Tried two different user tokens, one belonging to administrators, the other one being a standard user with analysis rights. Same result.

What else should I look at?

Must-share information:

  • which versions are you using: SonarQube Server EE 2026.4.1, Maven Scanner 5.7
  • how is SonarQube deployed: Docker

Hi @gquerret,

We will take a look and report back.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi @gquerret,

Thanks for your patience.

The issue has been fixed and will be available in our upcoming 2026.5 release.

In the meantime, you can workaround the problem by adding the Execute Analysis permission.

Thanks,
Paul

The user indeed didn’t have the Execute analysis permission but was able to execute the sonar-scanner job (except the Architecture part). This is now solved, thanks.
