SonarQube is telling me there’s duplicated lines, but it wasn’t highlighting them. After a handful of days the issue seemed to go away and it highlighted the duplicate code. To my knowledge, I didn’t make any changes in SonarQube. I’m wondering what I can do to make sure it doesn’t happen again. We’re running SonarQube Server Developer Edition 10.2.1. Thanks!

First, 10.2 is very much officially EOL at this point. The current version is SonarQube Server 2025.1 LTA. You should upgrade at your earliest convenience.
Regarding your question, it’s difficult to tell you how to avoid this in the future without knowing what happened. And it’s difficult to know what happened with so few details. If you encounter this again, drop us a line (with details & screenshots 
) and we’ll be happy to dig into it with you.

Thanks Ann! I’ll have to check with my team if I’m allowed to do screenshots since I work with confidential information. Basically, my screen looked like the one below (which I borrowed from this thread) except it wasn’t highlighting which lines were duplicated. If that still doesn’t help, that’s okay, I’ll try to regroup with my team and post if the issue arises again.
