CSS rules in SonarLint

Hi,

Developers trying to improve code practice patterns in Eclipse using SonarLint before they merge to source code repository. But looks like in Eclipse sonarlint no CSS rules.
Is there any way can we import rules to Eclipse? or is there any solution. I can see import option but I don’t know how the import option will work. Please help me.

Since we have SonarLint in IDE but it is not supporting for all languages. is there any way Can I import rules

Hi,
I think it is impossible. You have to wait for an official support of this language in SonarLint for Eclipse.
Please be aware that different versions of SonarLint support different languages. At this moment:

  • SonarLint for Eclipse 4.1:
    • Java
    • JavaScript

  • SonarLint for IntelliJ IDEA 4.0:
    • Java
    • JavaScript
    • Python
    • Kotlin
    • Ruby
    • PHP
  • SonarLint for Visual Studio 4.8:

    • TypeScript
    • HTML

    • Python

Hi Adam,

is there a roadmap, where I can see when new languages (in my case CSS and HTML) will be available?
Because we started using SonarLint and it is a huge improvement in our daily work.

I am using SonarLint 5.3.0 and still no CSS support. When is it expected ?

Hello,
our CSS analyzer is currently not compatible with SonarLint; moreover, adding CSS support to SonarLint is currently not on top of our priority list. Nevertheless, we are tracking user requests and votes, and we may reconsider the priorities if we see a significant number of users asking for it
