Please help to change the administrator for my account. We had a recent merger and the admin account has to be updated. I have tried and it forces the user to be picked from a list of users which is not possible since the email id to change to doesnt exist in the list of sonarcloud users.

The user you want to become an admin should log in to SonarCloud. At this point you can add them to your organization, and then you can set that user to be an admin.
So this forces me to be out of sync with github user list?
Find my organization
If you can’t find your organization in the list, you should ask your organization admin to add you.
As an admin, how can i add the other user?
Well, you could also add that user to your GitHub organization so that the membership is synced.
