Better error message on endless loop

Hi folks
we have some developers that made a mistake and put a symbolic link in the middle of their directory structure that points to the top of their directory structure. Yes a very bad loop! When they try to run a scan, the code calls standard JDK function to walk through a directory tree and hits this endless loop. However SQ just never comes back. Is there any way we can create some sort of break condition or way for SQ to break out of the loop and report it? This maybe impossible but wanted to ask. Completely understand this should never been coded this way, but if we could prevent all of these coding no-nos they we would not need SQ

Just curious: didn’t the scan fail with a stack overflow error?
