Sonarqube-9.6.1.59531 can't connect to MSSQL database with SQL authenthication

I’ve installed JRE and manually updated the connection string by adding

;encrypt=false

as was mentioned here:

Can't start SonarQube 9.6

Okay I couldn’t let a problem go unsolved all weekend…I added encrypt=false to the end of my sql server url in the sonar.properties file so it looks like sonar.jdbc.url=jdbc:sqlserver://SONARQUBE;databaseName=sonar;instance=sqlexpress;encrypt=false and that seems to have worked. My web page is stuck on the Maintenance screen right now but I am assuming (and hoping) that is temporary. If nothing else it is progress!

It did solve the issue. Guys, you need to update the installation guide considering all of the possible and frequent pitfalls.
