Hello,
My name is baseballyama, and I am a member of the Svelte Core Team.
Together with ubugeeei from the Vue Core Team, I have been working on Rust ports of ESLint plugins that are not yet supported by Oxlint.
One of the plugins we would like to support is `eslint-plugin-sonarjs`. However, I noticed that the project’s license has changed from LGPL to SSALv1.
Because the source code is publicly available, we would like to avoid any uncertainty regarding licensing and are therefore reaching out directly to SonarSource for guidance. We would like to know whether SonarSource would be willing to permit a Rust implementation of SonarJS rules for use in Oxlint.
The JavaScript tooling ecosystem is rapidly adopting Rust-based infrastructure, and Oxlint is becoming an increasingly important part of that ecosystem. We believe that community-maintained support for SonarJS rules within Oxlint could be beneficial to both projects and their users.
We would greatly appreciate any guidance on how SonarSource would prefer such an effort to proceed.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
