Windows installation issues (community Edition) zstd.dll not found

Is there a ticket where this issue is being tracked? Is there an ETA when a fix will be implemented in SonarQube?

We are already working on the upgrade to more recent version of elasticsearch so this feedback is valuable to us and we will make some fixes in the area of elasticsearch loading that will be released in the next version of SonarQube Server and SonarQube Community Build.

I think this is the likeliest ticket: SONAR-23869

As mentioned above by Ann we worked on a fix and we implemented some changes (ticket linked above).

If you experience the same issue in SonarQube Community Build 25.1 (or higher) or in the upcoming LTA version of SonarQube Server feel free to let us know and update this thread.

FINALLY got this working. I don’t know what happened, but between the zstd.dll library and elasticsearch, sonarqube version 24 seem to just badly corrupt my server. I’ve tried everything on this forum, and others and nothing fixed it, including downloading sonarqube 25.1, and older.

What ended up working: I completely destroyed the machine and started over, with sonarqube 25.1, and everything just worked out of the box. Note that I checked the PATH variable, postgres version, etc, and gave up figuring out why the previous machine was corrupt. Glad that starting over, everything works out of the box though. I’m verifying version 25.1 is good to go.
