Which features are not working when SonarQube is hosted in a private server?

Hello Dear Community,

  • I’m using SonarQube version 8.9.1 developer edition, Integrated with Azure DevOps server. SonarQube is only accessible from the localhost but it has access to the Azure DevOps server.
  • I’m curious about what are the benefits of having SonarQube running in a public server compared to running it in a private host?
  • So far, I’ve seen that the created issues in after code analysis are not assigned to the git users. Is this for example a disadvantage of running SonarQube in a private host?

Where/how SonarQube is hosted has no impact on how it works. If you’re seeing a difference in functionality, it’s likely related to the analysis conditions.
