Where to install Node

Same kind of issue here, but we’re running Sonar 8.2 on Kubernetes. Where should we install the Node.js and how can we configure Sonar ?

Thanks

Loïc

Hello @loic.salou,

I moved your post to a new topic, because the other topic was old and not necessarily related to your post.

You need to install Node.js on the node where you run your analysis. Where exactly that is will depend on your infrastructure. If you are not sure, you would need to describe your kubernetes deployment in more detail (and I am no kubernetes expert either, so hopefully someone from the community will be able to help).

Just to be sure.
We build the app (backend Java + frontend Angular so scss, typescript, html…) on Jenkins. Jenkins has access to a NodeJS v12.x.
I understand that Sonar also needs to work with Node.js, right ?

I’ll see with the right person so we can describe better our installation and hopefully get some help.

Thanks

Loïc

yes, you need to make Node available on the environment where Jenkins runs the analysis.
