Upgrade issue with license from 8.9-enterprise to 9.9-enterprise lts version in SonarQube

I did an upgrade from 8.9 enterprise lts to 9.9-enterprisre LTS. However, server id got changed to older one whose license was already expired last year. Tried to check with sonarsource team and they suggested me to add the query here. Please note there was no change in database url or connection. Did anyone else faced the same issue ?

The server Id is based in part on the JDBC URL. If there was no change to the connection, the server Id should be unaffected. The upgrade procedure doesn’t affect material data in the database, which is where server Id and license key are stored.

Is it possible that an old DB backup snuck into the mix somehow?
