# Upgrade community to DE

Hello All,  
I want to upgrade to developer edition so I can scan swift, but I do not have an option to upgrade to developer edition in the marketplace, just links to the developer edition page and other editions.  
I want to scan swift, I have a trial license, but no clue how to upgrade.  
I only found some articles to reinstall, but I do not want that. I run it on Azure, and for the SonarQube community I just deployed a VM image and I was done.  
I would like to avoid reinstalling, especially any manual procedure to do so, if possible.

Hi,

This upgrade is achieved by [downloading](https://www.sonarqube.org/downloads/) the correct commercial bundle, performing the [usual upgrade procedure](https://docs.sonarqube.org/latest/setup/upgrading/), and plugging in the license key.
