Understand the consumption of lines of code in SonarQube Enterprise edition

Need information about consumption of lines of code:

  • Scenario 1: If I scan a project with 300 lines of code and I scan this project with a lines of code 310. How much I am going to be charged ? Is it 310 lines of code or 300+310 = 610 lines of code ?

  • Scenario 2: I have branches in my project as master and other feature branches. In this master branch has 100 lines of code and the other feature branches have 110 lines of code in this case how many lines of code are charged ?

Hey there.

License utilization is based on the lines of code analyzed in largest branch of each project – and is not affected by how many times a project/branch has been scanned. It’s the sum total of lines of code analyzed in largest branch of each project at any given instance. If you scan the same 100 lines 100 times, it’s only 100 lines counting towards your license.
