# Unable to Create Service Connection with SonarQube Cloud Token — Verification Failed / Unauthorized

Hi Team,

I’m facing an issue while trying to create a service connection for **SonarQube Cloud**. Every time I enter the authentication token generated from my SonarQube Cloud account and try to verify the connection, it fails with the following messages.

- When I select **Region: US ([https://sonarqube.us](https://sonarqube.us))** → I get the error:

- When I select **Region: Global ([https://sonarqube.com](https://sonarqube.com))** → it only shows:

I’ve already:

- Generated a fresh **SonarQube Cloud token** from _My Account → Security → Generate Tokens_

- Verified that the token is active and has not expired

- Tried both the US and Global region options multiple times

Despite this, the verification consistently fails and prevents me from creating the service connection.

Can you please confirm:

1. Whether there are any known issues with the SonarQube Cloud US endpoint (`https://sonarqube.us`) for service connection setup?

2. If there are specific token permissions or scopes required for this connection?

3. Any workaround or updated documentation for successfully integrating with SonarQube Cloud?

Thanks for the report. This is being tracked here ([SONARAZDO-475](https://sonarsource.atlassian.net/browse/SONARAZDO-475)) where a workaround is also documented.
