# Sonarscanner locally

Must-share information (formatted with [Markdown](https://commonmark.org/help/)):

- which versions are you using (SonarQube, Scanner, Plugin, and any relevant extension): sonarqube 8.4.1 Enterprise Edition
- what are you trying to achieve: run the sonarscanner locally
- what have you tried so far to achieve this: created the project in sonarqube.

Could you please explain the steps how to run the sonarscanner locally on windows machine?

I have a github repo locally saved on my windows desktop and need to perform the code quality check.

We are migrating the projects to different organization need to test the code analysis for testing purpose.

Source & target sonarqube applications are 8.4.1 version - Enterprise Edition
