The target version is 8.6 because it is an organizational requirement and out of my control.
And, as mentioned in the post - Limit on number of rule violations display on the UI of analysis report of Sonarqube - #2 by ganncamp
I should follow the upgrade path in order to reach the targeted version, hence updating my custom plugin to intermediate version.
