Hello Sonar Team,

Currently we are running one node sonarqube application on premise and we are planning to roll out Active/Passive SonarQube Architecture, if supported.
We are not going to Data Center Edition for clustering.
Does Sonar support Active/Passive architecture to fit into our needs? I do not see any relevant article on Sonar Source. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bipin Guragain

Hi Bipin,

This simply isn’t supported outside Data Center Edition($$$).

Further, while you may be tempted to connect both your active and passive SQ nodes to your database anyway, what we’ve seen in practice is very weird behavior resulting from that configuration.

Ann

Thank you for your response on this. Do you have any supportive documentation for active/passive nodes to connect to the database? Any documentation will be helpful.

Thanks
Bipin

Hi Bipin,

There’s no documentation because we don’t support this. And as I said, you really shouldn’t try connecting multiple SonarQube instances to the same DB.
