# SonarLint for Eclipse 10.2 - COBOL support improvements

Dear Eclipse users,

I’m happy to announce the new version **10.2** of SonarLint for Eclipse! :sonarlint:

In this new version, we improved the **support of COBOL and COBOL IDEs**. Indeed, with recent changes in JDT, it now has the ability to find Java-like extensions from the files in the project. We now check that the file should only be excluded when we are working with a JDT Java project where there are no COBOL sources.

We also improved the **usage of SonarLint in pre-configured and strict environments**.

Last but not least, here are some Analysis capacity updates:

- On **Java** , we enabled [21 rules](https://github.com/SonarSource/sonar-java/releases/tag/7.34.0.35958) on test sources and fixed 8 False-Positives.
- On **JS/TS** we added [4 accessibility rules](https://github.com/SonarSource/SonarJS/releases/tag/10.14.0.26080).
