SonarLint doesn't work on WSL2 IntelliJ

  • Operating system: Windows 10 / Windows 11
  • SonarLint plugin version: 10.11.1.79663
  • IntelliJ version: 2024.2.3
  • Programming language you’re coding in: Java
  • Is connected mode used: Yes
  • Connected to SonarCloud or SonarQube (and which version): SonarCloud

I found the SonarLint doesn’t work on IntelliJ while using WSL2. The progress bar gets stuck whenever I analyze the code/file. However, until I turn off the Windows Defender, then it starts working again. I would like to know what is the application I should whitelist in order to make this work or how can I resolve this issue??

Hello, I managed to resolve the issue by adding some processes and directories to the exclusion list.

Sure.

Below is the software, directory, and process that I have added to the exclusion list.
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security
