We’ve been using the Sonar Review Alpha bot for several months now ( GitHub Apps - Sonar Review Alpha · GitHub ), since the announcement at the end of March, and its been working extremely well. I’ve been wondering at what point I’ll be asked to pay, and I would gladly do so if it continued to work like this! We use it in our Github repos, and it gets run as a check on commits, it required no real setup, just simply enabling it. I cannot though find any topics or references to this bot in this community, which seems strange.
Anyway as of a few days ago, it suddenly stopped working, with a message:
- “Sonar Review is currently unavailable”, with no explanation except “its not enabled for my organization”.
But our plan hasn’t changed, our configuration hasn’t changed, and I cannot find any way to remediate this. If this is Sonar basically ending the program or taking it out of alpha, you’d think they’d be interested in helping users to continue opting for the bot.. as I said I’d pay for it if it was an option… but its not lol, which seems like a miserable product marketing strategy.
I did find links to Gitar AI, and mention that they’ve been purchased by Sonar, but no reference again to this bot… should I just dump Sonar and sign-up with Gitar? I’m going to try that anyway, but just curious if anyone has had this experience as well or knows what’s going on.
