Setting default main branch name in sonar.properties

We are trying to set the default main branch name to “master” globally using the Admin → General settings

Is there a way to set the branch name in the sonar.properties file?

We already tried to add the line sonar.projectCreation.mainBranchName=master in the properties file, but it does not reflect when the instance is started.

No, this setting can only be set in the web application.
