Search rule by UID?

Hi all,

Is there a way to search for a rule using its UID ? The search bar does not seem to support it.

What is a UID for a rule ? Where have you found this information ?

Which version of SonarQube are you using?
What you’re describing should work with the latest version of SonarQube.

You should be able to search rules by id on 7.3:

Thanks. This indeed works. It did not work before for me I think because of a strange behavior:

  1. type “c:” -> results are shown
  2. then type “s” -> no results at all
  3. type “3”, then “8” then “0” -> no results each time
  4. type “5” -> result is shown

so I might have been mislead by this behavior. Is it intended ?
