Issue:
I have a project that is not visible in my SonarCloud organization, but when I try to import it again, I get the error “Already imported”.
Details:
Project Name: Service App Android
Expected Project Key: ep-neo_epSetup_Android (or similar)
Organization: epneo
My Role: Owner
Repository Provider: GitLab
What I’ve Tried:
Checked all organizations - project not visible in any of them(we have only one organisation)
Searched for the project using search bar - no results
Checked Organization → Projects page - project not listed
Attempted to re-import - shows “Already imported” error
Tried accessing via direct URL - project does not exist
Expected Behavior:
The project should be visible in my organization’s project list, or I should be able to re-import it.
Actual Behavior:
Project is not visible anywhere, but the system prevents me from creating/importing it because it says it already exists.
Request:
Could you please help me either:
Make the existing project visible to me, OR Unbind/delete the existing project so I can re-import it
Are you an org admin? And if so, can you check the Administration → Projects Management page to see if shows up there? I’m trying to eliminate the possibility that it’s imported (presumably by someone else) but you just don’t have permissions to see it.
Thank you for your response. I clearly remember creating this project for a demo. When I check the Administration section, I’m unable to see the Project Management option. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the options available to me.
Could you help me understand why the project isn’t visible and assist in resolving this issue at the earliest?
It’s quite possible to lose permissions to a project you created, or to have never been granted them in the first place depending on how your permission template is set up.
Do you know what plan you’re on? If it’s Enterprise, there’s an Administration UI to show all projects (even the ones you don’t have Browse rights to) and from there you can restore access if the project exists. If not, there’s an API. This post should help with that.
