Not able to connect to SonarCloud from SonarLint - The project binding is taking forever

Please provide

  • Operating system: Windows 11
  • SonarLint plugin version: 3.20.2
  • Programming language you’re coding in: JavaScript
  • Is connected mode used:
    • Connected to SonarCloud or SonarQube (and which version): SonarCloud

And a thorough description of the problem / question:

The connection to SonarCloud is getting established, but only once. The connection does appear inside the Connected Mode area, but once I click on expand icon and try to add binding for project the search for project dropdown doesn’t appear and nothing happens without any error.

There are no errors I can see in the OUTPUT area of SonarLint.

Additionally, after this step the SonarCloud connected mode never opens again, it just shows a forever loader, that don’t go away.

Please help I just want to connect to my SonarCloud project from VS Code.

Thank you for your report, it indeed sounds like something is wrong, but we cannot be sure without logs. Would you be able to enable verbose logging and provide the output here? Also, for extra information, it would help if you can

  • Go to Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console in VSCode
  • Clear console
  • Reproduce the issue you described
  • Provide the screenshot of any error that appears in the console
