Issues in c# files not found when not opend during extension startup

When opening vscode (or restarting the extension), with the file directly being opened (basically having it closed while file in editor), it DOES find the issues.

Closing the file and reopening it (or basically any other file), it does not detect any issues anymore.

the scan on the very same file with the very same settings found 3 issues at first, and then none

seems to be bound to Version 5.2 and c# files (ts-files work without problems) . Version 5.1 works as expected.

And a thorough description of the problem / question: Latest version 12.2.0.84584 no longer reports any issues. Reverting back to 12.1.0.84508 fixes the issue. Other colleagues experience the same issue.

When updating from older working version to 12.2.0.84584 version of the plugin it still shows the previous issue(s) but once you edit the file these are gone and will no longer report any issues.

If I bind my SonarQube Server project, result in no issues are detected.

If connected mode is not active everything work as expected.

After upgrading, I was having trouble opening the menu, like Tools. It would open and immediately go away. I would notice in the lower left corner, SonarQube for Visual Studio: Analyzing 3 files. Anytime I tried to do anything, it was like SonarQube was taking over and the menu or where ever I was , would lose focus. Even tping was difficult since it kept switching focus to some place. It was hard to get pictures of it happening, but I created a videoLink to issue

I tried that version on VS 2022 (Enterprise 17.14.31), VS 2026 (Enterprise 18.5.2) and VS 2026 Insiders (Enterprise 11723.189) and all had the same issue.

I rolled back to 10.2.1.16720. I’ve not seen any posts about a similar issue so I’m not sure if this version of SonarQube is interfering with another extension, if my setup is creating the issue, or if there is some issue with the code.

I can provide any other details as needed.

Version 5.2.2 seems to work now again. Looks good at least on the first impressions

Thanks, 12.2.2.84629 of SonarQube for IDE fixed the issue.
