I am on Community version 7.9. I cannot download 8.9, access denied, from Download Previous SonarQube Server Versions | Sonar

If you’re running 7.9, then our recommendation is that you don’t upgrade. You will have to take many upgrade steps to reach a modern version, and the change in features and rules will be so steep that we typically recommend to just start fresh.
You can create a back-up of your database and connect a 7.9 instance to it, at least this way you will be able to check the history if you need to. Even if you don’t apply a license to this instance, you can still use it, it simply won’t accept new analyses.
