Guest SAML accounts

I have set up an instance of SonarQube (10.3) and integrated the SAML login to our AAD. This is working fine. There is an AAD group that is used to control access. Once users are in that group they can access SQ and their account is created.

However we have external accounts guested into our AAD but their accounts aren’t added and they get the following message.

I have found a few old threads from 5 years ago that refer to this and promise some resolution but I can’t find anything more recent.

This case was also reference but now it is marked wontfix.

Hey there.

That SCCOMM ticket shouldn’t be too relevant. That ticket isn’t referring to SAML (until very recently, SAML wasn’t supported on SonarCloud).

You should be able to find out more about why authentication to your SonarQube server didn’t work by digging into the server logs (specifically web.log)
