The issues tab on the web portal lets you filter by creation date. We would like an option to be able to filter by update date instead.
Some issues, particularly the ones detecting potential null pointer dereferences (such as java:S2259), tend to jump back and forth between being open and being closed, presumably due to random variations in other code within the method. It would be useful to see which ones just got reopened. A re-opened issue keeps its original creation tag, so we can’t use that as the filter, but that is the only temporal filter option available.
If you’re worried about having “too many” filter options getting in the way of users, you could maybe have a checkbox next to the calendar selection part (when one clicks on Creation Date in the filter menu) to choose whether to use creation date or update date.
