Files being included on rebased PRs not relevant to the PR itself

ALM used: GitHub
CI system used: GitHub Actions?
Languages of the repository: Mostly PHP

Error observed: PR has been rebased from 4.1 to 4.x, but files seem to be getting included which do not relate to the PR. Other PRs in our repo are getting checked fine, this one seems to be an oddity and we are not sure why

Please also note I have only just set this up, and am completely new to the technology

Hey there.

I checked your PR a few days ago, and compared to then it looks like things have snapped back into place on your pull request – is that correct? (We should understand why it wasn’t working, but I just want to make sure you’re no longer blocked). Was there a particular action that made it work (I see a few force-pushes in your PR).

Hey, yes we got to the bottom of it in the end, it seemed that the rebase didn’t work properly and then it was done again and seemed to fix the problem! Thanks!
