File search broken in 8.4

  • Versions used: SonarQube 8.4.1
  • Error observed
    • After upgrading to from 8.3 to 8.4.1, searching for files in the search bar will yield no results.
    • This is happening on 3 different SonarQube instances on separate machines.
  • Steps to reproduce:
    • Attempt to search for a file by name in the search bar
    • No results will be found

I’ve already tried forcing a full elasticsearch reindex by removing the es6 folder, but unfortunately that made no difference.

it is not broken, but got removed with Sonarqube 8.4 to speed up indexing time
