Feature Request: Importing and Exporting Rules

Please provide

  • IntelliJ version: 2024.2.2
  • Programming language you’re coding in: Java
  • Is connected mode used:
    • SonarQube Cloud, SonarQube Server, or SonarQube Community Build? (if one of the latter two, which version?): No

And a thorough description of the problem / question:

Sometimes we modify the default rules and expect other members of the team to follow them without a SonarQube server. But currently this plugin cannot import or export rules, we have to copy the configuration file and distribute it to others. So is it possible to add buttons for importing and exporting rules so we can synchronize our rules?

Hey @Viola-Siemens,

for having all the members following the same configuration in regards to rules, the main targeted product is SonarQube Server or Cloud, not the IDE plug-in that is installed on the individuals machine.
