Does sonar lint extensions support mono-repo based connectionMode settings

Hi,

I have a mono repo in this format.

  • git-repo
    • api
      • .sonarlint
        • connectedMode.json
    • ui
      • .sonarlint
        • connectionMode.json
    • lib
      • .sonarlint
        • connectionMode.json

I would open my full repo in IDEs like Visual Studio Code and open solution wise for Dotnet in Visual Studio.
It would be really great if the SonarLint extensions can bind to multiple Sonar Project Keys and show scan results based on each Project Key for specific repo’s sub-folders.

Basically, I guess it has to support hierarchy scan in complete repo and support multi sonar project connected scanning. Probably for .net it can be a bigger change, probably moving from solution specific scanning to folder specific scanning and I think that is a good thing considering I work with different languages.

I think this will be a really helpful improvement for people who work with mono repos.

Please consider it if it has enough priority on your backlog.

Thank you.

Hi Nithin,

FWIW, if you have a <git-repo>.code-workspace file in your repository and list api, ui, and lib as separate workspace folders, you should be able to set up bindings for each workspace folder individually in VS Code. See more in VS Code docs.

Hope this helps,
Sophio
