Disable telemetry on docker 8.1 image?

Hello

we are running SonarQube 8.1 through docker-compose.

Image is started with option “sonar.telemetry.enabled=false”

services:
  sonarqube:
    image: sonarqube:8.1-community-beta
    ports:
      - 9000:9000
    environment:
      - sonar.telemetry.enabled=false # Disable telemetry

However, we see in the logs: “INFO web[][o.s.s.t.TelemetryDaemon] Sharing of SonarQube statistics is enabled.”

Are we doing something wrong to disable telemetry?

Hello,

Defining this property is not supported by environment variable on 8.1. To change this property, you need to do it in sonar.properties

Thanks @pierreguillot for quick answer
this is very unclear what can be configured using only sonar.properties, sonar options or sonar UI (forceLogin for example, or SMTP configuration).
From my understanding, any option configurable within sonar.properties (sonar.jdbc.url for example) should also be configurable using sonar options.

This will be the case in the 8.2 version. With 8.1, you can use env variables only for sonar.jdbc. properties.
