DevOps integration fails with spaces in project name

Enterprise Edition, v2026.1 (119033), ACTIVE, Standard Experience

When trying to connect a DevOps project and the “Project Name” contains spaces and/or hyphen, then SQ creates an invalid URL, fails to connect and starts spamming warnings while slowing down the whole server.

2026.03.03 15:44:38 ERROR web[a90149e3-78f8-4eb1-be7b-0723b8410533][o.s.a.c.a.AzureDevOpsHttpClient] Unable to contact Azure DevOps server for request [http://redactedurl/projectnamepart - another%20project%20namepart%22?api-version=3.0]: URL Not Found

Clearly it misinterprets the “projectnamepart - another project namepart” and messes the spaces encoding up.

Any help on this issue? Seems like a SQ bug, not correctly escaping the ENTIRE project name.

Hello Andreas,

Thanks for the ping on this. It is indeed a bug in how we are encoding non-standard characters, leading to malformed URLs. We are tracking it now & will update as soon as we have allocated capacity to it.
