Coverage reported via Azure DevOps build and Coverage reported displayed by SonarQube differs

Template for a good bug report, formatted with Markdown:

  • versions used (SonarQube, Scanner, Plugin, and any relevant extension) : Enterprise Edition Version 7.9.1
  • error observed (wrap logs/code around triple quote for proper formatting): Adequate test case has covered product feature method 100% and the same is reported in Coverage XML file. But SonarQube is displaying coverage covered as 0% which is not acceptable```
  • steps to reproduce : Parse coverage report generated by Visual Studio
  • potential workaround

P.S.: use the #bug:fault sub-category if you’re hitting a specific crash/error , or the #bug:fp sub-category for rules-related behaviour

hi @Bharath_Arakere

sorry for the delay

could you please

  • how are you doing the conversion of the binary trx to the coverage xml file? is it possible that you are picking an old coverage xml file?
  • can you share the verbose output of the command (please run SonarScanner.MSBuild.exe begin /k:“MyProject” /d:sonar.verbose=true as the begin step, and please attach the output of END step) ? We’ll be able to see the file paths and compare them with the coverage report
