Compatible Checkstyle version for Sonar 2025.6

Hi,

while preparing the update to SonarQube Server 2025.6.1, we saw that according to the Plugin version matrix the compatible Checkstyle version would be 10.23.0.

According to Releases · checkstyle/sonar-checkstyle there is a 10.26.1 available since 07/2025.

Is the compatibility matrix outdated or is the current Checkstyle version really not supported?

Hi Carsten,

The plugin version matrix reflects what the plugin maintainers have submitted to us. There may be a newer version of Checkstyle (I’m sure there is; I believe you :sweat_smile:). There may even be a newer version of the SonarQube Checkstyle plugin that offers that updated Checkstyle version. But the plugin maintainers haven’t asked to update the Marketplace / matrix to offer that version.
