Cannot start SonarQube Cloud Team trial for existing GitHub organization

Error observed: The organization is shown as OSS plan and I do not have permission to create projects in this organization. Additional context:

  • I am a GitHub organization owner
  • The organization appears as being on an OSS plan
  • I can see a former employee still listed in the organization
  • I suspect the organization may have been connected to SonarQube Cloud in the past, and a trial may already have been started before my time

Question:
Could an existing or previously used SonarQube Cloud organization be the reason why I cannot start the 14-day Team trial now? If so, is there a way to restore access to the existing organization or test the Team plan another way?

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

Could you share the organization ID?

You see this on the GitHub side or on the SonarQube Cloud side?

Hi,

do you mean “Key: liqidtechnology”?

You see this on the GitHub side or on the SonarQube Cloud side?

On SonarQube cloud side. He is listed unser Access > Members as Admin

Hi,

Thanks for those details. I’ve flagged this for folks with more access.

Hi Suzan,

There can only be 1 trial period. So if this has already elapsed, it cannot be trialed again.

If you do not care about the org that you currently have, you could delete it, create a fresh one linked to github and start the trial.

If you do care about your existing org, you could create a second one and start the trial, but this can not be linked to github like the existing one is otherwise you will be blocked as you already have a trial associated
