Cannot Add user to Sonar Cloud and cannot invite users to Sonar Cloud

Cannot add a member to Sonar Cloud account. When the member tries to use his Azure Devops credentials to login it is giving an error which states “Need Admin Approval”.

Also we have few external contractors that we need to give access. Is there a way to invite external users to sonarcloud account.

I suspect this is on the Azure side. Do the users in question have access to the app there?

The user in question has access to the app. He is assigned to the microsoft entra group which has access to the app.

Is there a way to give access to external candidates.

Can you please check the Enterprise application admin and users settings on your Entra ID tenant please ?

The setting to ask for admin consent may have changed over time, that’s why it’s now required.

I think this is probably tied to the “Users can request admin consent to apps they are unable to consent to” option.

Can you try setting it to yes and see if this has any positive effect ?

Finally we were able to add users. My second question is if we have external contractors can we just add them to active directory and can they be added or only internal employees can be added.
