Missing modules cannot be manually added because the name validation prevents the use of . but it is a valid character and present in all the auto-populated ones.
Thanks for reporting, Michael. We will look into it and report back.
Hi Michael, can you please clarify if you wish to create a namespace “MyModule” in the “AO” namespace? If that is the case, edit the container you want the “AO” namespace to be in and create the “AO” placeholder in there. Then, once created, select the “AO” namespace in your Intended architecture and add the placeholder “MyModule” as a child of AO.
Although module names (in Java) can contain a dot without implying containment, we do not plan to support this, as it is generally considered bad practice. It is common practice to use ‘-’ instead.
Hi Paul,
Our code base is C# and the scanner has managed to identify most of our projects and add them to the list of modules. When attempting to add a new module to the “CS” container that is not in the list we get that error despite all the automatically populated ones containing a “.”.
Assumption was that a module is akin to a C# module which would ultimately be a project / DLL.
Hi Michael,
We have added this to our list and will fix it. However, I don’t yet have a timeline. I will update here once it is scheduled.
Thanks,
Paul
